I know, I had to walk away myself. I paid more than that for my 19" a while back and thought THAT was a great deal. *sigh* I am not a hugh fan of the wide screen format, but the price makes it more appealing!

Yeah, $390 isn't anything to shake a stick at. I am using a 17inch right now, but since that time have a computer with a DVI port on my video card. If only I could sell my 17 inch for about $400 :p

My brother purchased a Inspiron last year and it had a really nice, clear coating on the screen. I wonder if these are like that as well?

No, that "coating" is a mini upgrade to what Dell calls TruLife, or something like that. Those come with the shiny finish. The LCD won't have that finish on it.

Don't laugh, I still see 17" in the stores for $399!
